US men's questions

Which US men’s size should I order?

Order your normal US men’s shoe size. This listing covers US men’s 6/7, 8/9 and 10/11. If you fall between two ranges, take the larger one. Try it untrimmed first, then trim only the toe or forefoot in very small amounts if needed for a flat fit.

How do these compare to other sizing standards?

US men’s runs roughly 1.5 sizes below US women’s and about 33 sizes below EU (US men’s 9 ≈ EU 42.5 ≈ UK 8). All four listings are the exact same patented 3/32-inch Springbak® Springsole at the same price — only the size scale printed on the package changes. The current price is shown live from our store.

Will Springsoles fit court shoes, cleats, trainers and work boots?

Yes. Try the Springsole without trimming first. If the factory liner is removable, remove it and place the Springsole underneath it. If the liner is lightly glued, gently pull to see whether it releases cleanly; if it does, place the Springsole underneath it. If the liner begins to tear, stretch, deform, or resist removal, stop and leave it in place. Put the Springsole on top instead. Never force out a firmly bonded or stitched liner. Try the Springsole without trimming first. Trim only if needed for a flat fit, starting at the toe/forefoot and removing a very small amount at a time. Do not trim the heel and do not unnecessarily narrow the sides. Recheck the fit after every small trim. At 3/32 of an inch, Springsoles fit court shoes, cleats, trainers and work boots with minimal added thickness.

How do I check out and what if the size is wrong?

    Read the study

“Our department sponsored a strength and stability study at the Weber State University human performance lab. After reviewing the force plate data, showing it took more than twice the force to push off the subjects off the force plate when standing on Springsoles, we have to conclude there is significant strength increase to individuals utilizing Springsoles.”

Howard Gray, PhDDirector of the Department of Gerontology, Brigham Young University

“Athletes wearing Springbak Springsoles took fewer strides over the same distance than when wearing placebo inserts — consistent with increased stride length.”

Dr. Robert WiswellUniversity of Southern California

Force-Plate Stability Study

In force-plate testing, subjects standing on Springbak® Springsoles showed more than twice the overall resistance to being pushed from their position.

In plain English: they were harder to move. They could hold their ground better against a sideways push—exactly the kind of stability athletes need when planting, cutting, jumping, landing, and absorbing contact.

Springbak® gives the foot a more stable, responsive platform to work from inside the shoe.

Results are from the force-plate testing described in U.S. Patent No. 6,589,630 B1. Individual results vary.

Shipping, returns & checkout

How ordering, delivery and returns work

Every answer below is handled by the Springbak® team on springbak.net — reach us any time at info@springbak.net or 951-277-3000.

How do I check out — is payment handled inside the app?

No. Choosing a size and quantity here opens the secure Springbak® cart on springbak.net with your pair already added, and card payment, address entry and order confirmation all happen there. The four steps are: pick your size, open the springbak.net cart, enter shipping and payment, then get your confirmation and tracking by email.

Can I order more than one size in the same checkout?

Yes. Every size you add here goes into the same springbak.net cart session, so you can mix US men's, US women's, EU and UK listings — or several sizes of one listing — and pay for them in a single order.

Where do Springsoles ship from and how long does delivery take?

Springsoles are manufactured and shipped from the United States. Orders are typically handled within one to two business days and arrive within about a week domestically; exact rates and delivery estimates are shown at checkout on springbak.net before you pay.

Do you ship outside the United States?

We regularly ship US orders and offer EU and UK sizing for athletes abroad. For an international order, email info@springbak.net or call 951-277-3000 and the Springbak® team will quote shipping to your country before you pay.

What if I order the wrong size — can I return or exchange Springsoles?

Yes. Returns and exchanges are handled directly by the Springbak® team. Email info@springbak.net or call 951-277-3000 with your order number and the size you need, and we will arrange the exchange by mail. Because every pair is trimmed to fit, contact us before cutting a pair you are unsure about.

How do I check the status of an order I already placed?

Order status, tracking and invoices live with your springbak.net order confirmation email. If you cannot find it, email info@springbak.net or call 951-277-3000 with the name the order was placed under and we will look it up.

Is checkout on springbak.net secure?

Yes. springbak.net is the official Springbak® store and runs checkout over HTTPS with the payment processor handling card details. This app never stores or transmits card information.

Buying questions

Springsoles shopping FAQ

What size Springsoles should I order?

Order your normal shoe size in your usual sizing standard (US men's, US women's, EU or UK). Springsoles are only 3/32 of an inch thick and are trimmed to fit, so each pair covers a two-size range.

How do I trim Springsoles to fit my shoe?

Try the Springsole untrimmed first. Trim only when needed for a clean, flat fit, removing a very small amount from the toe or forefoot with scissors. Reinsert and check after every cut. Never trim the heel, unnecessarily narrow the sides or alter the heel shape.

Do Springsoles replace the insole already in my shoe?

No. With a removable liner, put the Springsole underneath and reinstall the liner on top. A lightly glued liner may release with a gentle, steady pull; stop if it starts to tear, stretch or deform. Never force a firmly bonded or stitched liner out—leave it in place and put the Springsole on top.

Will Springsoles make my shoes feel tight?

At 3/32 of an inch, the added thickness is minimal and most athletes notice no change in fit. In a very snug racing spike or dress shoe, going with the thinner original insole on top usually solves it.

What shoes can I use Springsoles in?

Running shoes, basketball shoes, court shoes, cleats, track spikes, golf shoes, hiking boots and work boots. Put the Springsole under a removable liner. If a lightly glued liner releases cleanly with a gentle pull, place it underneath; if the liner resists or starts to tear, stretch or deform, stop and put the Springsole on top.

How much do Springsoles cost and where do I check out?

Every sizing option is the same price per pair, shown live from our store. Choosing a size here opens the secure Springbak® cart on springbak.net with your size and quantity already added, and payment, shipping and returns are handled there by the Springbak® team.

Are Springsoles made in the USA?

Yes. Springsoles are manufactured in the United States from a patented 1,4-polybutadiene compound under four U.S. patents.

What makes Springsoles different from cushioning insoles?

Cushioning insoles absorb energy. The Springbak® compound is formulated to return it, and the technology is covered by U.S. Patents 5,554,694, 5,695,850, 6,120,880, 6,589,630 B1. Laboratory force plate work also measured a substantial increase in the force required to displace a person standing on Springsoles.

Shopping for a specific sport?
