Sprinting insoles for spikes, trainers and the long training block
Sprinters and jumpers spend the whole season chasing hundredths and inches. Springbak® Springsoles add a resilient layer between your foot and the track that returns energy at ground contact, in a thickness thin enough for spikes.

What track & field demands of your feet
- Ground contacts under 0.1 seconds at top-end speed
- Block starts that demand maximum force in one direction
- Approach runs and takeoffs in long, triple and high jump
- Hundreds of tempo reps per week on a hard synthetic surface
Why Springsoles fit this sport
Built for short ground contacts
The material's resilience means it returns energy fast enough to matter inside a sprint contact, not after it.
Spike-compatible profile
3/32" keeps the plate feel and pin angle you train in.
Volume protection
Tempo and accelerations add up. Cutting shock on every rep keeps your Achilles and shins fresher through a long block.
The technology, materials and four U.S. patents behind Springsoles are detailed on How it works.
Fitting them to your track & field footwear
- Spikes: lift the insole if removable, otherwise use them in your trainers and warm-up flats.
- Trim to your foot outline for tight-fitting sprint spikes.
- Keep a pair in trainers for tempo, weight room and general prep days.
FAQ
Track & Field insoles — frequently asked questions
Can I use insoles in track spikes?
+
If the spike has a removable insole, yes. If it does not, use Springsoles in trainers and flats where you accumulate most of your weekly volume.
Will they help my block start?
+
The benefit is energy return at ground contact and reduced pounding across sessions, not added force. Combine with the speed program in Train.
Can Springsoles go in spikes?
+
Yes, in any spike with a removable insole. In racing flats and spikes without one, trim carefully and test in warm-ups before you compete.
Are they legal in sanctioned track competition?
+
They are an insole inside your shoe, not an assisting device attached to it. We are not aware of any federation rule against them, but confirm with your meet officials.
Do jumpers and throwers benefit as much as sprinters?
+
Jumpers benefit most from the landing and takeoff resilience; throwers benefit from repeated hard plant work on a rigid concrete ring.
