- Lift the existing insole out of the shoe — walking shoes, sneakers, work shoes or house shoes all work.
- Lay the Springsole in flat, then set your original insole back on top of it.
- Trim the toe along your outline with scissors if the shoe is snug.
- If you wear a prescribed orthotic, the Springsole goes underneath it — your orthotic still does its job.

Turning is where footing gets tested — reaching into a cupboard, backing out of the driveway, looking behind you on a walk. This is the core-rotation half of the Springbak® Challenge, and it takes about a minute in your own kitchen. Nothing to measure, nothing to jump.

- Stand comfortably with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- Keep your feet planted and face straight ahead.
- Extend your arms in front of you, or cross them over your chest.
- Slowly rotate your upper body as far as is comfortable — without moving your feet.
- Note your finishing position: a spot on the wall, a piece of furniture, a mark on the floor.
- Insert your Springbak® Springsoles and repeat the exact same movement.
- Compare your comfort, balance, control and range of rotation.
Do not force the movement, and steady yourself near a counter or a chair back if you like. The purpose is to compare how your body feels and moves under the same conditions — not to reach further than is comfortable.
