Athletes audit everything except the thing every movement passes through. Foot fatigue is not a minor complaint — it is the first domino in a chain that ends with a hip that will not rotate and a swing that arrives late.
The audit
- Count sessions on your current shoes, not months. Over 200 hard sessions is past due.
- Pull the insole and look at the heel and forefoot wear pattern.
- Press the platform under the insole. If it feels dead, it is.
- Rate late-session foot fatigue 1 to 10 for two weeks and watch the trend.
Rotation, cutting, and the ground
A swing is a ground-up sequence: back foot loads, hips rotate, the barrel follows. A stable, responsive base under the foot supports that transfer for nine innings, not three.
